Have you ever heard of holographic displays? Of course, it is a term that may be unfamiliar rather than AR or VR. But as you know about holograms, holograms are three-dimensional images of three-dimensional images produced using laser beams, and they’re representing three-dimensional images outside of the display’s.

However, holograms are not actually available yet, and they are technologies that can only be seen in movies. However, a lot of research is being done to use holograms in real life, and the hologram between the general display and the hologram is the holographic display I’m going to talk about today.

Holographic displays are used in many ways, especially in popular culture, as virtual performances, and automobiles are being developed to provide virtual touch screen screens so that the screen can be manipulated by hand gestures. However, it will still take more time to use holographic displays on smartphones that we use often.

Holograms are divided into two ways depending on how they are played. There are reflective holograms and transmissive holograms, and in the case of reflective holograms, images that reflect the holograms are designed to be observed in front of the hologram and can be obtained by making them incident on each other from opposite directions. This increases the three-dimensional effect of the three-dimensional image.

Reflective holograms are a method of exposing object waves and reference waves to photographic films in the same direction, and although the three-dimensional effect is lower than the transmission type, the color of the three-dimensional image is bright. In addition, it is divided according to the recording method and utilization. There are many practical applications, and as laser technology advances day by day, holographic displays are also expected to be used in various places.

So we’ve looked at holographic displays, and the world of holograms is still incomplete, but they’re moving in various directions toward completion. So far, complete holograms are only seen in movies and TV, but in the near future, you will see complete holograms.

With various types of holographic displays, our lives will be more pleasant and high-quality. At first, we will use it externally/literally, but later on, we will be able to use holograms on smartphones that we use often, so please have various experiences through this.
